Their first attempts were quite crude but in they launched a new aluminium frame design which was in reality the French equivalent of the Italian Alan — I think they were built in reasonable numbers — I have seen quite a number on my continental travels and seem to have been supplied to a number of French shops for them to be labelled as their own. This bike is built with Stronglight chainset, Simplex gears and seatpost, 3TTT bars and stem and CLB brakes and is in excellent condition with no cracks or other problems… Rather unusual.

I understood the vital role the fort played in the American Revolution. I knew that the original wooden fort was gone by the turn of the 19th century, and that what visitors see today is a faithful reconstruction completed in I spent a week at the park back in March of cavity-packing fragile ceramic and glass vessels in preparation for their relocation to the newly constructed Willett Center. I had fond memories of friendly staff and some very cool artifacts; the Gothic-paneled pickle jars were favorites of mine.

Damm, I’m loving this thread. And if you want to see ‘gay’, then check out the video for ‘Steam’. I just picked up a VHS promo for his “Steam” single at a music store I go to it was in the free box at the front door. It’s packaged like a Falcon video from the 80s with the oversized outer sleeve and the video cassette inside. The fact that he looks like a gay pornstar on the cover can’t have been an accident.
The whole package made me think he must be in on the joke. Pardon me for being out of the loop but modern country radio bores me to tears whenever I listen to it. I don’t know if it was true or not but it was certainly hilarious. And R79, Connie Smith is 20 years older that Stuart if she’s a day, so I don’t get the attraction either, unless he wanted a woman he could cheat on and get away with it.
I didn’t think so. She was a college grad who came from a rather well off family. She was such a hoot. I think I’ll dress as her for Halloween next year.

Some bike parts have a date code cast or stamped into the piece. This clearly is when the component was made and not when the bike was made, but unless the component or bike manufacturer had lots of stock lying around in inventory, the date should be a fairly good indication of the year of the bike. At least it would be the earliest date that the bike could have been made. Of course, all this assumes the bike has the original component. The most likely components to be original are the stem, handlebars, seatpost, and brakes.
On a vintage bike in excellent condition that apparently had a lonely existence in a garage all of the components likely are original. As the wear on a vintage bike increases, the greater the likelihood components are not original, either through replacement of worn parts or through component swaps. Swaps can take place early in the life of a bike as the proud new owner upgrades to new or used components of higher quality.
Swaps also can be made as the bike falls out of favor, or is being sold, where the higher quality components are traded for lower quality ones that the owner had onhand. Don’t all cyclists have boxes and boxes of old components in their garage?

Summary This article explores how and why the patient came to be repositioned as a political actor within British health care during the s and s. Focusing on the role played by patient organizations, it is suggested that the repositioning of the patient needs to be seen in the light of growing demands for greater patient autonomy and the application of consumerist principles to health.
Examining the activities of two patient groups—the National Association for the Welfare of Children in Hospital NAWCH and the Patients Association PA —indicates that while such groups undoubtedly placed more emphasis on individual autonomy, collective concerns did not entirely fall away. The voices of patients, as well as the patient, continued to matter within British health care.

Share 11k shares For make no mistake. After the failure of Mr Cameron’s renegotiations — and this week’s draft deal shows there’s no other word for it than failure, since it changes nothing of any substance in our relationship with the EU — this is the stark choice facing us in the coming referendum. For months, we have been bombarded with propaganda from one side: In a brilliantly organised campaign, big business leaders, universities, ‘elder statesmen’ and the Civil Service — under the direction of its head, ‘Sir Cover-up’ Jeremy Heywood — have been corralled into making the case that it would be a catastrophe if Britain left the EU.
Meanwhile, the Conservative Party has thrown off all pretence of impartiality, proselytising for the EU in defiance of most of its rank-and-file members, who have grave doubts about Brussels. More shamefully still, Eurosceptic ministers have been muzzled — banned from speaking on the most momentous issue of our time, even now that we know the terms Mr Cameron is willing to accept.
Eurosceptic Iain Duncan Smith As we report today, an edict has even gone out requiring all Cabinet ministers to filter their statements and quotes on Europe through Downing Street.
